Cart Service Inc. & Powder Coating  ·  Palm Desert, CA

The direction
for CSI Palm Desert

A working website, not a picture of one. Click into it, press the buttons, fill the form. Below is what the research turned up, and what we still need from CSI before any of it goes live.

What the research turned up

The opportunity is bigger
than a redesign

  • Powder coating is uncontested. Eight cart shops across the Coachella Valley were checked. Not one of them offers powder coating. The closest anyone gets is "custom paint."
  • Nobody publishes prices. Seven of the eight hide every rate behind a phone call.
  • Nobody has built the street legal page. Palm Desert runs a real permit program under Municipal Code Chapter 10.76 and no shop in the market has written the guide for it.
  • The design bar is on the floor. Two dealer templates, one Squarespace with animated GIFs, one Wix, two brands with no site at all. There is not one custom designed site in the market.
  • Reputation is not the problem. 39 Yelp reviews already matches or beats every competitor checked. Visibility is the problem.
  • Palm Desert wrote the first municipal golf cart program in the United States, in 1993. That is a genuinely ownable local story and nobody is telling it.
  • The season is a four to one swing. The city's own El Paseo courtesy cart ridership peaks in March at roughly four times the August trough, which is the argument for booking pre season service in September and selling frame-off coating work over the summer.
  • The Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade runs its 62nd year on 25 October 2026 on El Paseo. A shop that builds custom carts should be visible at that.

Needs attention now

Two domain problems,
one of them urgent

  • cartservicesinc.com is broken. The www certificate expired on 1 August, so anyone visiting gets a full page browser security warning. The bare domain resolves to an unrelated third party server. This is live right now.
  • cartservicepd.com is dark. Still registered and paid through January 2027, but it has no A record and has served nothing since around October 2024.
  • Good names are still free. csicarts.com, csipalmdesert.com and csicartspalmdesert.com were all unregistered as of today.
  • Two Yelp listings, three addresses. A duplicate listing splits the reviews, and two directories publish old addresses.

Before any of this goes live

What we still need from CSI

The demos use only facts that could be verified from CSI's own archived site, their Facebook, and public records. Anything below was either unverifiable or contradicted itself, so it has been left out rather than guessed at.

  • Do you powder coat anything other than carts? Wheels, patio furniture, gates, motorcycle parts. This is the difference between one page and a second revenue line.
  • Before and after photos of coating work. The strongest page on the site cannot be built without them.
  • Correct opening hours. Three sources give three different answers.
  • Do you do lithium conversions? Two sources directly contradict each other.
  • Do you do rentals? One directory says yes, your own sites never mentioned it.
  • Do you do street legal conversions? No evidence either way, and it is the best untapped page in the market.
  • The toe brake patent number, or permission to describe it as "our own design" instead. It is currently described as patented and that could not be confirmed.
  • Which brands, if any, you are authorized for. No logo goes on the site without this.
  • Owner name, tech count, and one experience figure. Your material variously says 15 years, 25 years combined, and founded 2010.
  • Real prices for the rate card, and the domain and Wix logins.
