Coated to the bone
Body off, stripped to the rolling chassis, blasted and cured in one color. Every tube and weld sealed, which is the only way to stop a frame rusting from the inside out.
Cart Service Inc. · Powder Coating · Palm Desert since 2010
Powder coating is not paint. It is dry pigment charged with static, laid onto bare metal, then cured solid in an oven at 400°F. It does not chip like a rattle can and it does not chalk out in the Coachella Valley sun.
Our oven is in the building. Frames, wheels, roof struts, bumpers and brush guards, all coated on site.
Every color below is a real coat on this exact cart. Gloss, satin, candy, metallic and textured.
What happens in the shop
The part comes apart and goes into the blast cabinet. Old paint, corrosion and desert grit come off until it is bare, keyed metal. Nothing bonds to a dirty frame.
Dry pigment is given an electrostatic charge and sprayed at the grounded part. It wraps edges and clings to every inside corner a brush would miss.
Into the oven. The powder melts, flows out level, then cross links into one continuous shell. This is the part a spray can cannot do at any price.
Cooled, inspected, then rebuilt with new hardware. You get the cart back looking like it left a factory that only ever made one.
Beyond a color change
Start with a running cart or a bare frame. The chassis gets coated either way, which is the part that decides whether it is still solid in ten years.

Masked and shot in two passes so the division line stays crisp. Wheel centers coated to match.

Extended chassis, three rows, one long roof. Built for the households that move more people than a two seater can carry.

Palm Desert wrote the first municipal golf cart program in the country. We fit the equipment its inspection asks for: head lamps, brake lights, front and rear signals, mirrors, horn and belts.

We service and repair all makes. If it cannot be driven in, we will come get it and bring it back.
Motors, controllers, solenoids, wiring, brakes and steering. We find the actual fault instead of replacing parts until it goes away.
Pack testing, replacement, cables and terminals, plus lithium conversions that cut the weight and end the watering routine.
Suspension lifts, wheel and tire packages, and the alignment work afterward so a lifted cart still tracks straight down the path.
Brakes, wheels and tires, front end alignment and inspection, fluids, wiring, battery test and a full detail.
Our own design, and the reason this shop exists. Do not like your hand brake? We take the Tomberlin hand brake out and drop a proper foot pedal straight in.
Stripped to the bare chassis, powder coated, then rebuilt piece by piece. New suspension, new wiring, new body panels, finished in the color you pick.
Whatever cart you have, it comes through the same bay. We are not tied to one brand, so the advice you get is about your cart rather than about what we are trying to sell you.
